ABOUT US

WELCOME TO BLOOM!

We’re Robyn and Annie, passionate dance educators and studio owners. Before launching Bloom, we were dedicated faculty members at other studios and professional performers.

We understand the challenges facing our industry and the growing concerns about dance competitions. As studio owners ourselves, we share your worries about the overemphasis on tricks, long hours, and the lack of inclusive levels. We’re also concerned about the sometimes inappropriate music and costumes for young dancers, as well as the impersonal nature of large competitions.

We believe that dance should be a joyful experience that fosters creativity, builds self-esteem, and teaches valuable life skills. That’s why we’re committed to creating a different kind of competition—one that celebrates artistry, inclusivity, community and positive values.

We’d like to introduce you to BLOOM DANCE COMPETITION, a new kind of fun, boutique-level service and inclusive dance competition!

I LOVED this competition! Professional videos and photos were free. They were generous with all their awards. Duets/ trios each got their own trophy for first place. They did not charge for general public admission. The staff was lovely and very organized- with very positive energy. I would love to bring my girls back this upcoming season.
